STATE ACCOUNTABILITY TRANSPARENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS (STATE2STATE) ACTIVITY
CALL FOR VENDORS’ CONFERENCE ATTENDEES
BACKGROUND
The Nigeria State Accountability, Transparency and Effectiveness (“State2State”) Activity is a five-year project financed by USAID and implemented through a contract with DAI Global LLC to increase the accountability, transparency and effectiveness of selected state and local governments (LGAs) in Nigeria by: strengthening governance systems (with a focus on public financial management [PFM] and procurement, as well as monitoring and evaluation) related to the delivery of services in key sectors (basic education, primary health care, and water, sanitation and hygiene [WASH]); increasing government responsiveness to citizen needs and priorities; and improving government and civil society capacity to manage conflict (through work on prevention, mitigation and reconciliation with the same sectoral partners, not stand-alone assistance to the police or judiciary). This will be achieved by strengthening subnational governance systems in a sustainable manner, supporting the efforts of local reformers, and building on locally derived solutions including, to the extent possible, reforms already working in other parts of Nigeria. The State2State Activity is being implemented at the federal level and in six focal states: Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Gombe and Sokoto, with the possibility of being extended to other states through the consulting firm competent (CFC).
Consequently, in accordance with procurement best practices, the State2State Activity is calling for companies and service providers in State2State operational locations (per six focal states referenced above) plus Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for vendors’ conference(s). The exact date(s) and venue(s) of the seven vendors’ conferences will be communicated separately.
OBJECTIVE
To highlight and discuss processes and procedures pertaining to vendors’ responses to State2State solicitations for Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and to provide information to vendors of upcoming Expressions of Interest (EOI).
INSTRUCTIONS TO PROSPECTIVE VENDORS
All companies and service providers interested in attending a vendors’ conference must send an email to [email protected] by the closing date of July 20, 2022 indicating their name, business name and address, telephone number, e-mail address, and the vendors’ conference location (per seven locations referenced above) where they plan to attend. One person per business will be permitted to attend any conference. Pre-registration is required. A notification will be sent after July 20, 2022 indicating the date, time, and venue for the conference. Please note that State2State in Nigeria only works with legally registered businesses.
