INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AS A VENDOR

1. INTRODUCTION
Albasar International Foundation, which manages Makkah Specialist Eye Hospital in Kano, Bauchi and Maradi (Niger Republic), is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization working for the prevention of blindness with particular emphasis on Africa and Asia.

Established in 1990, Albasar International Foundation operates in three ways; Free Mobile Eye Service, the establishment of a specialized eye hospital and training institutes.

The foundation is, hereby, inviting new and existing vendors/companies with the relevant experience and good track record in all areas of operation stated in the scope, to come forward and obtain our Vendor’s registration form (V.R.F) at no cost for processing and registration.

2. SCOPE
Medicines, Medical and Surgical Equipment, Optics (Lenses and Frames, Hospital consumables, printing and Stationaries, General Goods and Construction/Maintenance.

3. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
As specified in the A.L.F’s vendor’s registration form (V.R.F) to be obtained in the foundation premises.

4. COLLECTION OF THE V.R.F DOCUMENT
Prospective vendors/companies are to obtain the V.R.F from the office of the Regional Procurement officer, Albasar International Foundation Regional Headquarters No. 5 BUK road, Makkah Specialist Eye Hospital, Kano between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:30 pm Sundays to Fridays.

5. SUBMISSION OF THE V.R.F
Responding vendors/companies are to submit the processed V.R forms with a cover letter introducing the company or business to the Regional Administration and Finance director no later than 25th May 2024.

6. CAVEAT EMPTOR
1. Vendors/companies should ensure all information given is exact and true. ALF will not be held responsible for acting upon any information given that turns out to be untrue or false which may lead to litigation as a result thereafter.
2. Due diligence visit may be paid to verify certain claims put forward on the submitted V.R forms.
3. The V.R forms must be filled in English and signed by the officer who has the authority to act in that capacity.
4. This advert should not be misconstrued to denote any obligation to enter any binding transaction.
