Oxfam

CONSULTANCY; PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANTS FOR OXFAM IN NIGERIA (OIN) JUST ECONOMIES

OXFAM is a worldwide development organization that mobilizes the power of people against poverty. In Nigeria, we work to influence policy change in favour of the poor and most vulnerable, promoting food security and supporting small-scale farmers to improve the livelihoods of men and women in rural areas.

We focus on meeting vulnerable people’s needs, saving lives, sustaining increased incomes for the poorest, and transforming attitudes about women’s roles and rights. Our core values are equality, empowerment, solidarity, inclusiveness, accountability, and courage; with the pillars of our national work being accountable governance, gender justice and just economies.

In Nigeria, Oxfam works to influence policy change in favour of the poor and most vulnerable. Also, Oxfam in Nigeria works to boost civic engagement by providing platforms for citizen engagement to make policymaking more transparent and inclusive.

Oxfam in Nigeria has been a leading force in social and economic empowerment by mobilizing the power of people against poverty. The interventions of the country programme cut across three major thematic areas geared towards the promotion of gender justice, and economic justice, as well as the promotion of accountable governance for the benefit of vulnerable populations across its locations in Nigeria.
