The U.S. EMBASSY will conduct its’ first Online auction sale of appliances and furniture from December 1 to December 11 2023

Registration is open on the online auction site any time from December 1, 2023.  No need to come to the Embassy.

Viewing & Bidding

View and bid on items online anytime during the auction period from December 1st at 9:00 A.M. until December 11th at 4:00 P.M...  Multiple bids during this time are allowed and encouraged.  Keep track of the items you bid on!

Payment

Winning bidders will be notified via email shortly after the auction is closed.  A link will direct bidders to the auction website for winning lot(s) information, how to pay, and where to pick up your property.  Payment must be made by 5 P.M. Thursday, December 14th.  Bring your proof of payment on pick up day.

Custom Payment & Property Removal Date:          

Friday, Dec 15, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Virginia warehouse.

Auction Guidelines:

  • Bidding on items online is open to all.
  • Winning bidders will be notified via email shortly after the auction ends on December 1, 2023 at 4:00 P.M.  The email will list the lot(s) awarded and the amount due.
  • The email will also provide payment and property pick-up information.
  • Payments will be made by electronic transfer to the Embassy bank account provided.  Payment should be made for the total amount due for all winning bids.  The bank payment receipt must be presented at the time of property pick-up.
  • Payment must be received in the Embassy bank account by 5 P.M. Thursday, December 14, 2023 or the award will be forfeited.
  • All items are sold “as is” with no declaration made of serviceability.  There will be no returns or refunds after payments are finalized.
  • All successful bidders must pay customs duty before items can be removed from the warehouse area.  Representatives from the Nigerian Customs Bureau will be on hand to collect duty on the pickup day.  Proper Identification ID must be presented at pick-up site.
