REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
CONSULTING SERVICES – INDIVIDUAL SELECTION

A Project, with funding from multilateral institutions that is supporting capacity building in Nigeria in the fields of Procurement, Environmental standards, and social standards requires individual consultants for the position of Communications Officer. The position will be based in Abuja.
The successful consultant will be required to:
• Handle all awareness, visibility, publicity, promotional and media products and relations.
• Develop the communication strategy (5 years) and annual communication plans in full detail.
• Measure, evaluate and assess impact of the communications strategy by obtaining stakeholder feedback frequently to identify communications gaps, conduct public consultations, polls and surveys to determine stakeholder perception.
The short-listing criteria are:
• Master’s degree in journalism, mass media, communication or similar;
• Membership of relevant National Professional bodies will be an added advantage;
• Good command of the English language;
• Good writing, editing, and proofreading skills;
• Good communication and computer skills;
• At least 12 years of general professional experience;
• At least 5 years of specific experience in similar organizational and setups involving similar activities;
• Experience in management of communications in a multilateral funded project.
The approximate effort level for the assignment is (12) twelve months.

The Independent National Facilitation Unit (INFU) of the now Individual Consultants (“Consultant”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.

i. EOI must be submitted in English Language
ii. EOI submitted after the deadline for submission will be returned.
iii. Only shortlisted individuals will be contacted.
iv. The Project is not bound to shortlist any individual and reserves the right to annul the procurement process at any time without incurring any liabilities in accordance with section 28 of the Public Procurement Act 2007.
