1. OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE
UNOPS is a procurement agent for the National Malaria Elimination Program under the Federal Ministry of Health, procuring various drugs and medical supplies. We intend to procure non-sterile examination gloves for our client under the Malaria Elimination Programme.
2. EXPECTED PROCUREMENT COMPONENTS
The total quantities (a pack size of 100 pcs per box) of standard powered examination gloves are:
Large size: 50% of total quantity – 57,567 boxes
Medium size – 30% of total quantity – 34,540 boxes
Small size – 20% of the total quantity- 23,027 boxes
3. SPECIAL PROCUREMENT CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In order to be considered as a potential supplier, interested companies should submit their expression of interest including the information requested in this process. This call for Expression of Interest does not constitute a solicitation. UNOPS reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. UNOPS also reserves the right to require compliance with additional conditions as and when issuing the final solicitation documents. Submitting a reply to a call for EOI does not automatically guarantee receipt of the solicitation documents when issued. Invitations to bid or requests for proposals and any subsequent purchase order or contract will be issued in accordance with the rules and procedures of UNOPS.
UNOPS invites suppliers capable for providing the goods in above category(s) to submit their expression of interest.
In order to be considered as a potential supplier, interested enterprises should submit their expression of interest including the following information:
Brief presentation of your company including number of staff, turnover, years in business.
Details of previously executed contracts related to supplies of Medical Examination Gloves.
Contact information (full name and address, country, telephone and fax numbers, email address, website and contact person)
The offered product must be certified/licensed by NAFDAC (provide valid NAFDAC certificate)
The product must have the EU (CE marking) or US (FDA PMA or 501k) regulatory approval (provide documentary evidence)
The product must have EN 455 certification which are a set of standard used for medical single-use gloves.
The product must have certification for the ASTM D6319 for nitrile rubber gloves. Or the ASTM D3578 for natural rubber gloves.
The product must have certification for the ISO 11193 for single-use rubber examination gloves.
The products must meet any of the following set of performance standards or their equivalent; EN 455, or ASTM D6319, D3578, D5250 or D6977 or EN 374.

Offered gloves shall be compliant with the regulatory requirements and standards of one of the founding members of Global Harmonization Task Force (GHTF) (namely, EU, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan). (e.g Europe: the product MUST bear the CE mark on its packaging i.e have the conformite Europeene (CE) certification or for USA; FDA approval certificate, etc). Bidders should submit the manufacturer’s documentary evidence of these certifications in English Language proving compliance).
Offered products must be manufactured at a site that is ISO13485 or ISO 9001 certified QMS. Bidder to submit valid ISO certificate of the manufacturer.
Manufacturer’s authorization to supply the gloves if the vendor is not a manufacturer.

The expression of interest and accompanying documents must be received through the UNOPS E-Sourcing portal by no later than 20th February, 2024 at 17:00 UTC.
