SPECIFICATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS

The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems in low and middle-income countries (LMICs) and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, cancer, and other diseases. For more information, please visit http://www.clintonhealthaccess.org

CHAI has supported the Federal Government of Nigeria since 2017 to review and update its oxygen strategy. CHAI supported the development of the first ever National Oxygen policy and helped set up the United for Oxygen Platform to raise national awareness and commitment to implementation of the policy. Through Gates Funding, CHAI, between 2017 and 2019, supported state level work in optimizing respiratory care management for pneumia in children including building capacity for pulse oximetry and expanding the availability and functionality of oxygen concentrators in secondary and tertiary facilities. From the onset of Covid-19 pandemics, CHAI has also provided strategic support to the World Health Organization (WHO), other global partners and platforms to coordinate the response with a strong focus on strengthening testing, surveillance, and treatment in LMICs.

CHAI with funding from UNITAID is supporting the FMOH to roll out hypoxemia management trainings for health care workers (HCWs) from secondary and tertiary health facilities (SHFs/THFs) across five states (Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Imo, Ogun, Plateau) and the Federal Capital Territory – Abuja. As such, CHAI seeks the support of two local organizations to provide logistics support to roll out training activities in these states.
